Argyll House is a small bed and breakfast set in the beautiful, coastal village of Westleton.
Westleton benefits from two pubs, a well-stocked village shop, tea room, an art gallery, book shop, garage and a post office; all within easy walking distance.
We are close to the world renowned Minsmere nature reserve and the legendary town of Dunwich. We are also in the middle of one of the few dark sky areas in the UK, making for some magical star gazing evenings.
Nearby are the lovely sandy beaches of Walberswick, the bustling towns of Southwold and Aldeburgh, and the wonderful Snape Maltings.
We are only 2.2 miles from Darsham Train station which has direct links to London Liverpool Street and beyond.
There is a guest lounge, and our breakfasts are freshly prepared from locally sourced ingredients, where possible, served in the guest dining room.
All our rooms are newly refurbished, bright and comfortable; each having its own character and colour scheme to reflect the bird life inhabiting our world famous neighbour, Minsmere.
All rooms are ensuite, and equipped with WIFI, tea and coffee making facilities, USB charging points and TVs.
Our rooms have hypo allergenic duvets and pillows and extra and an iron and ironing board is available on request.
Breakfast is served between 7:00 and 9:00. We use local produce as far as we possibly can, including sausages and bacon from Revetts Butchers, bread from our village shop, eggs from our local farm and home grown tomatoes when in season. Please inform us of any special dietary requirements beforehand.
We are working hard to run our business as sustainably as possible. All our furniture (excluding the guest beds), is from our local vintage and antique centres or upcycled by ourselves.
We do our own laundry and, weather permitting, dry it outside.
Our artwork is all from local artists. We are determined to support local traders and artists as much as possible.
We do not provide plastic water bottles in the rooms in an effort to reduce plastic waste. The water from the guest bathrooms is perfectly potable. We are more than happy to provide glass bottles of drinking water if preferred.
Tourism leaflets often end up as litter or landfill, therefore we have opted to provide useful links on our website.
We are both Suffolk born and bred, and can provide lots of information about local attractions, and the many places of interest that surround us.
